The most iconic kayaking family in the United States, if not the world, Eric Jackson instilled a strong genetic disposition for paddling through fast water and it is now working its way into its third generation. Based in Rock Island, Tenn., when they’re not traveling across the country in their RV, the Jackson family is catching eyes, victories and sometimes, fish. Emily and Dane are mainstays on the Steep Creek and rodeo podiums while Emily and husband/fellow kayak champ Nick Troutman have two petit paddlers of their own who are in the first phases of getting their feet wet, Tucker, 5, and Parker, 2.
