Joe Gray is going for a record seventh victory in the adidas Terrex 10K Spring Runoff at the 2021 GoPro Mountain Games. Hailing from Colorado Springs, Joe Gray is the guy moving at what looks like a relaxed jog but is in fact at a clip that has him crushing the rest of the running field by minutes, not seconds. Then, he actually does jog around Vail between competitions. The World Mountain Running champion and six-time Mountain Games 10K winner is known to rarely break a sweat even on his sixth lap of Pepi’s Face-Off, which he’s also won. He will be returning to defend his Mountain Games titles this year after using his pandemic months away from competition to add even more miles and vertical to his training regiment.
