Mother Nature delivered brilliant blue skies for Day 3 of the 2025 GoPro Mountain Games, making for a picture-perfect day filled with art, music, and outdoor adventures in Vail.
Record times and rising stars in climbing finals
The YETI North American Cup Series speed finals lit up the Bulleit Hangout at Golden Peak as climbers rocketed up the wall in mere seconds, thrilling the packed crowd with every heart-pounding ascent. Earlier in the day, the excitement began with YETI Youth Climbing – Speed, where the next generation of speed climbers showed off their incredible skills and competitive spirit.
The North American Cup Series Vail presented by CELSIUS finals featured some of the world’s best climbers vying for the top spot in bouldering, delivering technical excellence and raw athleticism that left spectators mesmerized.
Blue skies and big splashes: a perfect day on the water
It was picture-perfect for water-based events across the Vail Valley’s pristine waterways. The ISOPURE kayak freestyle finals showcased artistic athleticism, while the Pacifico Down River R2 Raft Sprint, Down River Kayak Sprint, and Slifer Smith & Frampton Down River SUP Sprint brought speed and precision to the rapids.
Crowds went wild in ProPlan Dog Town as high-flying dock dogs launched, leapt, and splashed their way into everyone’s hearts, as these incredible canine athletes soared through the air and dove into the pool with their signature blend of athleticism and pure joy.

A night of powerful music and messages
Saturday night’s Mountains of Music finale kicked off with The Original Wailers, carrying on the legacy of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer. Mike Posner then brought a unique and heartfelt energy, sharing his inspiring journey from pop hits to mental health advocacy through music and wellness. Legendary reggae pioneers Steel Pulse closed things out with their Grammy-winning sound that blends roots reggae with punk, jazz, and funk influences.
Sunday’s grand finale
The final day of the 2025 GoPro Mountain Games promises non-stop action to close out the festival. Runners can choose their challenge with the adidas TERREX 10K Spring Runoff, 20K Trail Run, or the fun-focused Sunday Funday 5K. For those seeking a true test of grit, Pepi’s Face-Off offers an all-out sprint up and down the legendary Pepi’s Face.
On wheels, the Kids Bike Race lets the little ones test their skills, while the GoPro Road Bike Time Trial brings the only road biking event of the Mountain Games. Catch the final action on the whitewater with Pacifico Raft Cross and Kayak Cross. Meanwhile, on the slackline, watch the world’s best slackliners attempt world-first maneuvers in CELSIUS Best Trick Trickline.
Tomorrow is also the last opportunity to see pups flying through the air in the DockDogs events! The YETI Speed Showdown and CELSIUS Citizen Climbing – Bouldering will allow weekend warriors to test their skills on the same routes the pros have dominated all weekend.
