COMPETITION FORMAT:
  • The competition will take place Friday (qualification rounds), Saturday and Sunday (double elimination) and Sunday (finals)Thursday will be an open training session.
  • SEEDING QUALIFICATION – Friday, June 5
    • Competitors are divided into two heats.
    • Each heat runs for 1 hour, during which competitors can take as many attempts as they like to perform their best combination of tricks.
    • Scores are cumulative, and the best single run or combination (based on judge scoring) counts toward seeding.
    • Judges evaluate each attempt for tricks, performance, style, difficulty, and creativity.
    • At the end of both heats, scores are ranked to create brackets for competitions on Saturday and Sunday.
  • DOUBLE ELIMINATION ROUNDS – Saturday, June 6 – Sunday, June 7
    • Athletes will compete head-to-head against each other, based on qualification round seeding.
    • Winners advance in the winner’s bracket.
    • Losers move to the consolation bracketwhere they still have a chance to fight back toward the finals.
    • The 2 minute clock will start when the athlete touches the line and will stop when the athlete leaves the line and touches the ground.
    • Judges evaluate each attempt for the performance in 5 categories. Each judge will declare a winner of the heat.
  • FINALS – Sunday, June 7
    • The winner of the winner’s bracket will face off against the winner of the consolation bracket.
    • Athletes will compete head-to-head against each other.
    • The 2 minute clock will start when the athlete touches the line and will stop when the athlete leaves the line and touches the ground.
    • Judges evaluate each attempt for the performance in 5 categories. Each judge will declare the ultimate winner.
judging:
  • There will be 3-5 judges.
    • For the qualification rounds: each judge will focus on 1-2  judging categories and give a score out of 10 for their respective category.
    • In the double elimination rounds, judges will declare a winner in each category.

The five judging categories are:

  • Difficulty
    • Represents the overall difficulty of the athlete’s run. The judge will look at the run as a whole and make a comprehensive judgment of its difficulty.  Amplitude is factored in here as well.
  • Creativity
    • Represents how creative the athlete is and how diverse their run was. An athlete that only does butt bounce and chest bounce tricks will score low here. Flipping and spinning will score higher.
  • Style/Steeze
    • Represents the cleanliness of the run and overall performance and execution of the run. Judges will focus on dabs, crashes, arm flailing, etc.
  • Performance
    • Represents flair, humor, special tricks like special mounts and dismounts, hat tricks, crowd interaction, does the run build well and finish as if it were a show/performance?
  • Best Trick
    • Represents the single best trick of the run. Judges must weigh whether a harder trick executed poorly outweighs an easier trick executed perfectly.

NEW FOR 2026!

  • SLACKLINE SPOTLIGHT OF THE DAY
    • Each day, our judges will shine a spotlight on the competitor who pushes the limits, lands a bold new trick, or wows the crowd with creativity. The winner will receive a cool prize and ultimate bragging rights for the day. What’s awesome? Athletes can earn this recognition regardless of bracket results, so every competitor has a chance to shine.
  • BEST TRICKS OF THE GAMES
    • Throughout the competition, judges will be watching for jaw-dropping tricks, unforgettable combinations, and standout creativity. The top three tricks will split $850 in cash prizes. Even if a competitor doesn’t take home the championship, their signature move could still earn them tournament glory and cash.
