Open competitions welcome both amateur and pro athletes. Select events even allow dogs (not all of them—for obvious reasons). Invitational events are closed to the public. If you’re unsure about competing, check with your doctor… or your mom.
The GoPro Mountain Games will generally, upon request at least 2 weeks prior to the event, provide appropriate aids and services leading to effective communication for qualified persons with disabilities so they can participate equally in the Mountain Games programs and activities. Specific needs related to transit and parking should be directed to the Town of Vail. Please email Peggy Wolfe [[email protected]] for further assistance.
Can’t make it everywhere? No problem. The GoPro Mountain Games are built for watching, wandering, and jumping into the action—whether you’re here for one event or the whole weekend. Spectating on-site is always free.
Events and experiences pop up from Golden Peak through Vail Village and Lionshead, all connected by an easy walk. Free Town of Vail buses help you get around, but heads up—dogs can’t ride the buses during the Mountain Games.
Our Mountains of Music concert series takes place at the The Amp in Ford Park. Thursday through Saturday night starting when the competitions wrap!
While attendees and competitors can walk around the GoPro Mountain Games with their dogs on leashes, dogs are not allowed on the free Town of Vail buses during the Mountain Games.
Expo and demo areas are situated throughout the event where vendors will have their latest and greatest merch on display and on sale. For inquiries on our booth application process please fill out a contact form.
