Getting to and from the GoPro Mountain Games is made easier by the Town of Vail and the Eagle Valley Transportation Authority.
Before you hop in your car – take a look at other options including free bus service on selected routes around Eagle County and throughout the Town of Vail.
NEW THIS YEAR is a free valley-wide bus service, see Eagle County link below.

Also consider riding your bike or walking! More than 15 miles of paved, multi-use recreation trails are available with recent adaptations to include ebikes on many sections.
Take advantage of our regional electric bike share program and grab a Shift Bike from a station in Edwards, Avon, EagleVail or Vail.
Two-wheeled commuters can even be rewarded through a valley wide Sole Power Challenge.
These great ways to get to and from the GoPro Mountain Games help us become a more sustainable event!
If you do drive a car, please carpool! When you arrive, follow the signage to ensure that you park in a legal and safe location.

It’s all part of an amazing legacy of public transportation we have here in Vail.
In fact, Vail’s free bus system made its debut during Thanksgiving weekend in 1969 to shuttle skiers between Vail Village and Lionshead.
While Vail has enjoyed success with public transit since 1969, its commitment to sustainability remains a top priority. Diesel-powered buses were converted to hybrid buses in 2016 and a conversion to electric buses begins in 2020 to further reduce carbon emissions.
