Eagle McMahon is the No. 2 ranked professional disc golfer in the world, has 48 career professional wins and earnings close to $200,000, and he’ll be competing at the 2021 GoPro Mountain Games’ Mountain House Disc Golf Tournament.

McMahon has already won three Disc Golf Pro Tour events this year and is sponsored by Discmania. After the Mountain Games, he’ll be heading to Utah for the 2021 Disc Golf World Championships, where he will be one of the favorites to win his first-ever title.

From Boulder, McMahon will bring his skills (especially throwing for distance) to the Mountain Games competing in all four rounds of the Mountain House Disc Golf Tournament on Saturday and Sunday. The disc golf portion of the Mountain Games takes place at two 18-hole courses at Maloit Park in Minturn.

As its name implies, disc golf is golf with a flying disc, rather than a ball. The sport was formalized in the 1970s, and shares with “ball golf” the object of completing each hole in the fewest strokes (or, in the case of disc golf, fewest throws).
