The NextGen Volunteer Program is part of the Volunteer Ambassador track, a Vail Valley Foundation initiative that provides high school students with meaningful volunteer opportunities, helping them develop essential life skills and gain valuable work experience.

WHAT IS THE NEXTGEN VOLUNTEER PROGRAM?
The NextGen Volunteer Program is a hands-on volunteer experience designed just for high school students.
You’ll work alongside event staff and other volunteers to help bring the GoPro Mountain Games to life, from athletic competitions and sustainability efforts to guest services and event operations.
Launched in 2025 to complement the event’s GROM emphasis in athletic competitions, the volunteer program was a huge success, with 65+ NextGen volunteers bringing energy, teamwork, and great vibes to the Mountain Games. We’re excited to bring it back even bigger in 2026!
