VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS/BENEFITS 

Volunteers are required to sign up for a minimum of 3 shifts (or more) to be eligible for this year’s Volunteer Gift Package, which will include:

  • Invitation to the exclusive Volunteer Party scheduled on Tue, June 2 
  • Extra PERK Alert: Any volunteers who complete a Green Team shift will get an additional gift, as a special Thank You to all the Green Heroes that help us reach our event sustainability objectives.
  • Lunch on days you volunteer,  if your shift falls during Lunch hours. 
  • Volunteer-only Discounts: We love our Volunteers who want to do it all!  
    • Volunteers who also compete can score $10 off one (1) 2026 Mountain Games competition when registering on our Official Website. Please note discount does not apply to Climbing events, Kids Bike Race, or Try DockDogs.  
    • NEW FOR 2026! If you are here for the vibes as much as the action, volunteers get $10 off tickets to all 2026 Mountains of Music shows at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheatre. The full lineup will be announced on March 17, and tickets will be on sale on March 19 on our Official Website.

      • Discount codes are available for volunteers only and may not be used by friends or family, or shared via any social media.  
      • Discount codes are valid anytime until events are sold out on our official websites.

VOLUNTEER PRO TIPS 

  • Be sure to wear your credential and GoPro Mountain Games t-shirt uniform to all your scheduled shifts.
  • Allow plenty of time to park and check-in at Volunteer HQ before your shift start time.
  • Remember to stay hydrated by bringing your reusable water bottle with you and take advantage of our complimentary water refill stations throughout the event.
  • Be prepared for our changing mountain weather by bringing warm layers for the early mornings and wet weather gear for our occasional afternoon rain.
  • Wear sunscreen.
  • Download the Mountain Games app, your ultimate sidekick for the weekend with event schedules, maps, athlete info, real-time updates, and more.
