Posted by: Ross Leonhart

In its 21st year, the GoPro Mountain Games continue to be the country’s largest celebration of adventure sports, art, music and mountains, returning to Vail, Colorado, June 8-11, 2023.

Last year, the GoPro Mountain Games introduced the GoPro Dual Slalom bike event in Minturn, Colorado, with great success. This event will be returning to in 2023. Other fan favorites returning in 2023 include the Nature Valley Mud Run, the adidas Terrex Pepi’s Face-Off, the Pacifico 8-Ball Kayak, DockDogs and more.

NEW this year, the GoPro Mountain Games are putting an emphasis on the youth by creating “grom” divisions for ages 13-18 in almost every event to create a more fair, competitive field for the next generation of Mountain Gamers.

Also NEW in 2023, the fly-fishing competitions are getting a revamp and will include a brand new competition, the Orvis Species Slam, which requires teams of two to catch up to seven types of native fish that day.

A special CoLab Creator Stage will be featured in Solaris Plaza this year, bringing together athletes, artists and social media creators for unique, impactful discussions and presentations.

Returning athletes and spectators of the GoPro Mountain Games can expect another memorable weekend of competition, live music, art and more in 2023, with a few new twists to check out this year as well!
