There were moments when Alex Puccio wasn’t sure she would climb again. After suffering a torn ACL and MCL in her left knee at the 2015 GoPro Mountain Games EverBank IFSC Climbing World Cup, Puccio suffered pain that would lead to another devastating injury after the event in 2016. Alex suffered quiet discomfort at the 2016 event, then days later awoke with tremendous pain in her back. After spinal fusion surgery, many would have called it quits – not Alex.
